CLEVELAND — In an impressive performance, Tahj Staveskie recorded 20 points, leading Cleveland State to a victory over Northern Kentucky with a final score of 76-58 on Wednesday night.

Staveskie had an efficient night, making 8 of 17 shots from the field, including 4 of 10 from three-point range, contributing significantly to the Vikings’ success. Cleveland State, now boasting a record of 13-6 overall and 7-1 in the Horizon League, also saw Chase Robinson add 13 points to the tally, shooting 4 of 9 overall and converting 5 of 6 from the free-throw line. Meanwhile, Reece Robinson and Dylan Arnett chipped in with 11 points each, a combination that helped the Vikings extend their winning streak to nine consecutive games.

On the other side, Northern Kentucky, with a record of 9-10 and 4-4 in the league, was led by Sam Vinson who scored 17 points. Trey Robinson supported the effort with 16 points and three steals, while Keeyan Itejere made his mark with an impressive stat line of 11 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks.

Looking ahead, Cleveland State will play their next game on Sunday against IU Indianapolis in an away matchup. Meanwhile, Northern Kentucky is set to host Wright State on Saturday, as both teams aim to improve their standings in the conference.
