LEXINGTON, Va. — VMI put a halt to its five-game losing streak with a decisive 66-50 win against Western Carolina on Wednesday evening, thanks in large part to the outstanding performance of Rickey Bradley Jr., who contributed 14 points to the scoreboard.

In addition to his scoring, Bradley also secured seven rebounds, helping the Keydets, who now hold a record of 7-11 and 1-4 in the Southern Conference. Augustinas Kiudulas matched Bradley’s scoring total, netting 14 points while successfully connecting on 4 of 11 shot attempts, including 1 of 3 from beyond the arc, plus sinking all five of his free-throw tries. Tan Yildizoglu also made a notable impact with 14 points, shooting 3 for 10 from the floor, landing 2 of his 6 attempts from long range, and going a perfect 6 for 6 at the charity stripe.

For the Catamounts, who now sit at 5-11 overall and 1-4 in the conference, Bernard Pelote was the standout performer, leading his team with 14 points alongside six rebounds. Marcus Kell supported the effort with 11 points of his own.

Both teams are set to return to the court on Saturday, with VMI traveling to face the Citadel while Western Carolina will host UNC Greensboro at home.
