Zavian McLean delivered an impressive performance, scoring 20 points as FGCU clinched a 77-71 victory over Central Arkansas on Saturday.
McLean showcased his shooting skills by making 8 of his 13 attempts from the field, including 4 successful 3-pointers out of 9 attempts. This win improved the Eagles’ record to 8-9 overall and 3-1 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
In addition to McLean’s strong showing, Jevin Muniz contributed significantly with 17 points while also pulling down 12 rebounds and handing out six assists. Rahmir Barno added depth to the Eagles’ offense, scoring 12 points on 3 of 7 shooting from the field and converting 6 of 7 free throws.
For Central Arkansas, Elias Cato was the standout player, registering 29 points along with six rebounds in the game. Diogo Seixas also made a notable contribution, scoring 11 points for the Bears. Layne Taylor rounded out the contributors with 10 points, two steals, and four assists.
