DURHAM, N.H. — In an exciting game, Sami Pissis led New Hampshire to a 79-72 victory over Binghamton on Saturday, scoring an impressive 30 points. This performance was instrumental for the Wildcats, who managed to break a frustrating nine-game losing streak. In addition to his scoring, Pissis also recorded five assists, demonstrating his versatility on the court.
Anthony McComb III also contributed to the team’s success, finishing the game with 13 points. He made four of his eleven attempts from the floor, including one out of four from beyond the arc, and successfully converted four out of five free-throw opportunities. Furthermore, Antoni Siewruk added to the scoreboard with nine points, having an efficient shooting night going three for four from the field.
On the opposing side, Tymu Chenery was a standout for the Bearcats, scoring 18 points along with six assists and two blocks. His performance kept Binghamton competitive throughout the game. Gavin Walsh added a double-double to Binghamton’s effort, finishing with 17 points and pulling down 14 rebounds. Nehemiah Benson chipped in with 14 points, rounding out the scoring efforts for the Bearcats who now hold a record of 9-9 and are also 1-2 in the America East Conference.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Thursday, with New Hampshire traveling to face UMBC, while Binghamton will play against Vermont.
