MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Jestin Porter delivered an impressive performance, contributing 27 points to lead Middle Tennessee to an 84-79 win over Kennesaw State.
Porter showcased his scoring ability, hitting 9 of 15 shots from the field, including making 3 of 7 attempts from beyond the arc, along with strong free throw shooting, going 6 for 7. This victory improved the Blue Raiders’ record to 11-5 overall and 2-1 within Conference USA. Essam Mostafa also played a pivotal role, scoring 22 points while grabbing nine rebounds.
On the opposing side, Adrian Wooley shone for the Owls, finishing the game with 24 points and securing six rebounds. Additionally, teammates Andre Weir and Simeon Cottle each contributed 14 points to the effort.
Middle Tennessee gained momentum in the second half, launching a decisive 13-3 scoring run that widened their lead to 56-44 early in the period, with Porter adding 13 points after the break.
