BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday evening, Gardner-Webb secured a narrow 89-83 win over Winthrop, with Anthony Selden making a significant contribution by scoring 20 points.

Selden displayed a mix of shooting efficiency, going 6 for 12 from the field, though he struggled with his three-point shots, hitting none of his three attempts.
