In Arlington, Texas, Joc Pederson has finalized a two-year contract worth $37 million with the Texas Rangers, which includes a signing bonus of $5.5 million.
The agreement, announced on December 30, stipulates that Pederson will earn $13 million in his first year and $18.5 million in the final year, 2026.
Moreover, there is a mutual option amounting to $18.5 million for the year 2027.

The designated hitter and outfielder has the option to opt out of the contract following the conclusion of the 2025 World Series.
Should he decide to do so, the Rangers have the right to trigger the mutual options for the 2026 and 2027 seasons at the previously agreed amount of $18.5 million per year, but these options must be activated concurrently.

If Pederson is named to either the first or second All-MLB team this year or secures a Silver Slugger Award, his 2026 and 2027 salaries will rise to $21.5 million.
Additionally, there are several performance-based bonuses attached to the contract.
He can earn a $150,000 bonus for winning the MVP award, $100,000 for making the All-Star team or winning the World Series MVP award, and $50,000 for either a Silver Slugger Award or being named MVP of the League Championship Series.

As part of his contract benefits, Pederson will enjoy a hotel suite during road trips and has the opportunity to purchase four premium season tickets.
Furthermore, he has been granted a no-trade clause, providing him with an extra layer of security regarding his team placement.

Pederson joins Texas as his fifth team in his professional career.
He previously spent his initial seven seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After achieving a World Series championship with the Dodgers in 2020, he became a free agent and took a contract with the Chicago Cubs.
In the midst of the 2021 season, he was traded to the Atlanta Braves, where he once again tasted victory by winning another championship.
