BATON ROUGE, La. — In a commanding performance on Sunday night, LSU’s basketball team triumphed over Mississippi Valley State with a staggering 110-45 victory. This match marked the Tigers’ 21st consecutive win whenever they reached the 100-point mark in a game.

The 65-point differential stands as LSU’s largest victory margin since their 1999 rout of Grambling, where they posted a score of 112-37. Additionally, this is now recorded as the third-largest margin against a Division-I team in the program’s history. The 110 points scored by LSU was their highest total since they clocked in 119 against North Florida back in December 2015.

Cam Carter spearheaded the scoring effort with five 3-pointers and a total of 23 points. Vyctorius Miller contributed significantly as well, adding 20 points to the scoreboard. Taking control early, Carter scored 11 points—inclusive of three 3-pointers—within the game’s first six minutes, establishing an 18-6 lead that the Tigers maintained throughout. The Delta Devils, struggling offensively, failed to make a field goal during a 17-point scoring run by LSU, which allowed them to extend the lead to 28 points with just over seven minutes left in the first half. At halftime, the score stood at 55-13, as LSU set a record for allowing the fewest points in a half to an opponent in their history.

Mississippi Valley State now holds a record of 2-11 and has faced off against Division-I teams with a disappointing average of 46.2 points per game and a scoring margin of minus-44.2.

After a narrow loss to SMU at the Compete 4 Cause Classic in Frisco, Texas, LSU rebounded by winning three consecutive games, improving their overall standing to 11-2. In addition to Carter and Miller, Jordan Spears and Daimion Collins both added 15 points each, contributing to the team’s impressive shooting at an efficient 66% (46 for 70) from the field, which included making 12 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Alvin Stredic led the Mississippi Valley State team with eight points.
