FORT WORTH, Texas – Hailey Van Lith made a significant contribution with 17 points, while Madison Connor added 14 points thanks to four successful 3-point shots, leading No. 11 TCU to a decisive 79-47 victory over Brown on Sunday.

In addition to her points, Van Lith also recorded five assists, five rebounds, and three steals. Taylor Bigby played a supporting role by scoring 11 points for the Horned Frogs, who improved their record to 13-1, extending their winning streak to four games following an 82-54 defeat to No. 3 South Carolina on December 8 during the Coast to Coast Challenge.

The match started with Brown taking an early lead, as Grace Arnolie nailed three 3-pointers in the opening five minutes, and Olivia Young added one more to make it 12-8 with just over four minutes left in the first quarter. TCU quickly countered with a 9-2 run to finish the quarter strong, followed by a dominant start to the second quarter where they scored 12 of the first 14 points, taking a 34-25 advantage into halftime.

Bigby opened the scoring for TCU in the third quarter with a 3-point shot, and the Horned Frogs maintained a lead of double digits for the remainder of the game.

A notable statistic from the game was TCU’s dominance on the boards, where they out-rebounded Brown 54-28, including a remarkable 20-6 advantage on the offensive glass. This disparity allowed TCU to outscore the Bears 27-5 in second-chance points.

Isabell Mauricio led the scoring for Brown with 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting, but outside of her performance, the rest of the Brown team struggled, collectively making only 10 of 41 attempts (24.4%) from the field. Arnolie contributed with 13 points as well.

TCU excelled from beyond the arc, sinking 11 of their 27 3-point attempts, resulting in a shooting percentage of 41%. Their total of 148 3-pointers for the season is the highest in Division I basketball thus far.
