TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Aaliyah Nye delivered an outstanding performance, scoring a personal best of 30 points and matching her career-high with eight successful 3-pointers as No. 20 Alabama easily defeated Jacksonville with a score of 93-46 on Sunday.

Eris Lester contributed significantly for Alabama with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks while coming off the bench. Zaay Green offered support with 13 points and Sarah Ashlee Barker added 12. Karly Weathers also had an impact, tallying four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

Barker propelled the Crimson Tide in the third quarter, scoring 10 points. A significant 12-0 run allowed Alabama to extend their lead from 23 points at halftime to a commanding 69-29 with roughly three and a half minutes left in the quarter. By the end of the third, Alabama held a 76-40 advantage, limiting the Dolphins to just six points in the final quarter.

The Crimson Tide displayed exceptional shooting, hitting 57% of their shots overall and making 7 of 9 3-pointers in the first half, which led to a 47-24 lead. They managed to score 32 points in the second quarter alone, converting 11 of 14 attempts and going a perfect 5 for 5 from beyond the arc. Additionally, they successfully converted 7 of 8 free-throw attempts.

During the game, Nye was particularly effective, hitting four 3-pointers out of four attempts and scoring 16 points in the first half.

Alabama concluded the game with an impressive overall shooting percentage of 56%, making 14 of their 26 attempts from the three-point range and converting 15 of 20 free-throws.

For Jacksonville, Saniyah Craig scored 11 points and Bailey Burns contributed 10. The Dolphins struggled, shooting just 30% and committing 24 turnovers throughout the game.

Looking ahead, Alabama is set to begin their Southeastern Conference play at home against Florida this Thursday.
