SAN JOSE, Calif. — In a thrilling encounter on Saturday night, Tyson Degenhart topped the scoring charts with 26 points, leading Boise State to a narrow 73-71 victory over San Jose State. His crucial layup, made with just 54 seconds on the clock, helped secure the win for the Broncos.

Degenhart also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds, and his performance pushed Boise State to an impressive 10-3 record, improving their Mountain West Conference standing to 2-0. Alongside him, Andrew Meadow added 14 points, hitting 5 of 8 shots, which included two 3-pointers. Javan Buchanan further supported the team with a solid showing, scoring 10 points on 4 of 7 shooting from the field.

For the Spartans, who fell to 7-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference, Josh Uduje emerged as the standout player, notching 22 points in the effort. Robert Vaihola also made his mark with 11 points and eight rebounds, while Will McClendon chipped in with 10 points of his own.
