Don McHenry nets 28 points in Western Kentucky’s 86-73 victory over Seattle University

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — In an impressive performance, Don McHenry scored 28 points to lead Western Kentucky to an 86-73 victory against Seattle University on Tuesday evening.

McHenry showcased his shooting skills by hitting 9 of 12 attempts from the field, which included an impressive 4 for 5 beyond the three-point arc. Additionally, he went a flawless 6 for 6 from the free-throw line, contributing significantly to the Hilltoppers’ (8-3) success. Julius Thedford also made his mark by adding 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Braxton Bayless contributed 13 points, shooting 5 for 9 from the field.

On the other side, Maleek Arington and Paris Dawson both recorded 17 points to lead the Redhawks (4-7). Dawson further supported the team with six assists, and Brayden Maldonado rounded out the scorers with 11 points and six rebounds.

Western Kentucky seized control of the game with 11:07 remaining in the first half and maintained their lead throughout the contest. Enoch Kalambay was instrumental in the first half, scoring 10 points and helping to push the team to a 38-32 advantage by halftime. McHenry continued to shine in the second half, netting 19 points.
