SAVANNAH, Ga. — Rapper Quando Rondo has been sentenced to a federal prison term following his guilty plea to a drug-related offense in Georgia.

The artist, born Tyquian Terrel Bowman, will serve a sentence of two years and nine months as imposed by a U.S. District Court judge in Savannah, where he was raised, according to local media reports.

Bowman, who is 25 years old, entered a guilty plea in August for a charge of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss several other serious charges that were part of a December indictment, which accused him of conspiring with others to handle a variety of drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine along with marijuana.

During his plea hearing last summer, Bowman expressed his remorse, offering apologies to the residents of Savannah as well as to his family for his actions.

Known professionally as Quando Rondo, he gained significant attention in the music industry with singles such as “I Remember” and “ABG.” These tracks contributed to his signing with Atlantic Records, which released his debut album titled “QPac” in 2020. He followed that success with another album named “Recovery,” which dropped last year.
