Grambling, La. — Renowned rapper and entrepreneur Percy Miller, famously known as Master P, is set to serve as the keynote speaker at Grambling State University’s Fall Commencement ceremony on Friday. His address to graduates is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center, located on the university’s campus.
Miller’s dedication to empowerment and ownership has earned him significant acclaim, as highlighted by the university in an official announcement. He is noted for founding No Limit Records, a label that transformed the music industry by establishing a model for independent success. Throughout his tenure, Miller guided the label to sell over 100 million records internationally and played a pivotal role in the careers of iconic artists such as Snoop Dogg, Mia X, and Silkk the Shocker. Beyond his contributions to music, Miller has diversified his entrepreneurial ventures to include sectors such as clothing, luxury products, culinary businesses, and film production, solidifying his status as an innovative leader in business.
Besides being a successful businessman, Miller also holds titles as a best-selling author, a philanthropist, and a mental health advocate. Earlier this year, he was appointed New Orleans Entertainment Ambassador and has recently launched the NOLA Walk of Fame, which recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of individuals from New Orleans.
