WICHITA, Kan. – In an intense match on Saturday night, Wichita State triumphed over East Tennessee State with a score of 96-87, showcasing a strong team performance.

Justin Hill was a standout for the Shockers, contributing significantly to their victory with 20 points. He recorded 7 of 15 shooting from the floor, although he struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 1 of 5 attempts. Hill also sank 5 of his 6 free-throw attempts. Teammate Corey Washington had a notable game as well, finishing with 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, demonstrating his presence both offensively and defensively. Harlond Beverly also made a solid contribution with 14 points, thanks to his 6 of 12 shooting.

The Buccaneers could not find their rhythm despite an impressive effort from Jaden Seymour, who led his team with 25 points, complemented by nine rebounds, five assists, and two blocks. Karon Boyd added another 16 points to the mix, while Quimari Peterson provided support with 16 points, along with five assists and three steals.
