Marquel Sutton delivered an impressive performance for the Omaha Mavericks, scoring 23 points in their 70-60 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday night.
Sutton also contributed significantly in rebounding, pulling down eight boards for his team, which now sits at a record of 4-7.
Tony Osburn added to the team’s success by scoring 15 points, along with five rebounds and three steals.
JJ White chipped in with nine points, demonstrating efficiency by hitting four of his five field goal attempts.
For the Sacramento State Hornets, who now hold a record of 2-7, Jacob Holt was the standout player, registering 15 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.
Mike Wilson contributed with nine points and six rebounds, while Chudi Dioramma provided support with seven points, ten rebounds, and two blocks, although it wasn’t enough to secure a win.
Looking ahead, Omaha is set to face Northern Iowa on the road this coming Friday, while Sacramento State will host UC Davis on Saturday.
