NASHVILLE, Tenn. — On Friday night, Tyler Lundblade made a significant impact off the bench, contributing 15 points to propel Belmont to an 83-74 victory over Gardner-Webb.
Lundblade demonstrated his shooting ability, hitting 5 of 10 from the field and sinking four of eight attempts from beyond the arc, aiding the Bruins to improve their record to 6-2.
Also showing notable performances, Drew Scharnowski scored 11 points, going 3 of 4 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing seven rebounds.
Carter Whitt matched Scharnowski’s scoring with another 11 points, converting 5 of 9 shots made during the contest.

On the other side, Darryl Simmons II was the standout for the Runnin’ Bulldogs (4-4), leading his team with 23 points.
Anthony Selden also made a solid contribution with 19 points, along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Isaiah Richards recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds accompanied by two blocks.

Whitt was active early on, netting nine points in the first half, which saw Belmont entering halftime behind at 44-37.
The momentum shifted in the second half, as Belmont executed a commanding 16-2 run to overturn a three-point deficit, establishing a firm lead at 72-61 with 4:49 remaining.
Lundblade showcased his scoring ability with 12 points during the second half, aiding his team to secure the win smoothly.
