LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — In a competitive matchup on Thursday night, Kent State triumphed over Towson with a score of 65-54 during the Western Slam.
VonCameron Davis emerged as a key player for Kent State, contributing 18 points to the victory. He had an impressive shooting performance, hitting 8 of 13 attempts from the field and connecting on 2 of 4 three-point shots. Supporting him were Morgan Safford and Anthony Morales, both scoring 11 points each. Safford made significant contributions on the boards as well, bringing down six rebounds, while Morales was also effective from long range, shooting 2 for 5 from beyond the arc.
For the Towson Tigers, Dylan Williamson was the standout scorer, netting 21 points along with two steals, showcasing his ability to make plays on both ends of the court.
