Ticket costs decline for the second edition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix

Secondary ticket prices for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday have significantly decreased compared to last year’s inaugural Formula 1 event on the Las Vegas Strip.

As of late Saturday morning, the lowest ticket price listed on Gamesite was $477, a notable drop from $711 the previous day. In stark contrast, just one year ago, the cheapest ticket available on the same website was priced at $1,387 a day prior to the race, which saw Max Verstappen emerging as the winner.

Similar trends in ticket pricing were observed across other platforms as well. Vivid Seats offered its lowest ticket at $501, while StubHub listed tickets starting at $509, and SeatGeek offered a minimum price of $481.

Race organizers had anticipated a decline in interest during the second year of the event, pointing to the initial excitement and curiosity that attracted fans in 2023 who were eager to watch the sport’s top drivers race under the vibrant neon atmosphere of Las Vegas.

Last year’s race was fairly predictable in terms of outcome, with Verstappen securing the first title of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, contributing to a highly successful championship season for him.

This year, Verstappen has the chance to secure his fourth consecutive championship title, needing only to finish ahead of Lando Norris by three points to do so.

As it stands, BetMGM Sportsbook has Carlos Sainz Jr. as the frontrunner with odds of +200, followed closely by Charles Leclerc at +225, pole sitter George Russell at +350, Verstappen at +500, and Norris at +900.
