Chelsea narrows the distance to Premier League frontrunners Liverpool with a 2-1 victory over Leicester.

Chelsea narrowed the gap with Premier League leaders Liverpool to five points after securing a 2-1 victory against Leicester City on Saturday.
Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez were crucial in guiding the London team to success at the King Power Stadium, while Jordan Ayew found the net for Leicester in the dying moments of the match, scoring in the 95th minute.
Liverpool’s next match will take place on Sunday, where they will face the struggling side of Southampton, currently at the bottom of the league.

In the 15th minute, Jackson displayed exceptional close control within the penalty area before cleverly finishing to give Chelsea an early lead. This marked the Senegalese striker’s impressive tally of seven goals in just 13 appearances this season.
Chelsea extended their advantage in the 75th minute when Fernandez headed home after Jackson’s initial attempt was saved by Leicester’s goalkeeper, Mads Hermansen.

As it stands, Chelsea occupies the third position in the league, just one point behind Manchester City, who are set to compete against Tottenham later on Saturday.
