Free Agents from the 2024 MLB Non-Tender List

On Friday, a total of 62 players transitioned to free agency as their respective teams opted not to extend contracts for the upcoming 2025 season.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
The list from the American League includes various teams and positions. In Baltimore, right-handed pitcher Jacob Webb is now a free agent. Boston saw two players moving into free agency: right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell and pitcher Bryan Mata. From Chicago, both Enyel De Los Santos, a right-handed pitcher, and Gavin Sheets, who plays infield and outfield, have joined the free-agent ranks.

Cleveland released right-handed pitcher Connor Gillispie and outfielder George Valera. Detroit is parting ways with four players, including right-handers Wilmer Flores and Ricky Vanasco, shortstop Eddys Leonard, and fellow right-handed pitcher Brendan White. Los Angeles has also cut four players, consisting of outfielder Jordyn Adams, left-handed pitcher Patrick Sandoval, outfielder Bryce Teodosio, and infielder Eric Wagaman.

In New York, infielder Jon Berti and left-handed pitcher Tim Mayza are now free agents, while Seattle has seen four players leave, including right-handed pitcher J.T. Chargois, outfielder Sam Haggerty, third baseman Josh Rojas, and right-handed pitcher Austin Voth. Tampa Bay also released four players: left-handed pitcher Tyler Alexander, outfielder Dylan Carlson, left-handed pitcher Richard Lovelady, and left-handed pitcher Colin Poche. Toronto announces two players moving to free agency, right-handed pitchers Jordan Romano and Dillon Tate. Finally, the Athletics let go of right-handed pitcher Dany Jiménez.

NATIONAL LEAGUE
In the National League, the free-agent list begins with Arizona, which released left-handed pitcher Brandon Hughes. Atlanta is seeing five players become free agents, including right-handed pitcher Griffin Canning, left-handed pitcher Raymond Kerr, outfielder Ramon Laureano, right-handed pitcher Royber Salinas, and right-handed pitcher Huascar Ynoa. Chicago has the highest number of free agents in the National League with six, which includes right-handed pitcher Adbert Alzolay, outfielder Brennen Davis, infielder Nick Madrigal, outfielder Mike Tauchman, right-handed pitcher Trey Wingenter, and infielder Patrick Wisdom who can play both first and third base.

Cincinnati released right-handed pitcher Ian Gibaut, while Colorado has two free agents: right-handed pitcher Cal Quantrill and second baseman Brendan Rodgers. Los Angeles joins the list with right-handed pitcher Brent Honeywell Jr. and left-handed pitcher Zach Logue departing. Milwaukee’s lone free agent is left-handed pitcher Hoby Milner, whereas New York has seen three players transition to free agency, namely right-handed pitcher Grant Hartwig, outfielder Alex Ramírez, and left-handed pitcher Alex Young. Philadelphia released outfielder Austin Hays, while Pittsburgh saw three players leave: outfielder Bryan De La Cruz, first base-outfielder Connor Joe, and right-handed pitcher Hunter Stratton.

St. Louis lists right-handed pitcher Adam Kloffenstein as a free agent, and the San Diego team has let go of four players: right-handed pitcher Logan Gillaspie, outfielder Bryce Johnson, shortstop Mason McCoy, and right-handed pitcher Luis Patiño. San Francisco also has two free agents, left-handed pitcher Ethan Small and right-handed pitcher Kai Wei Teng. Finally, Washington’s list rounds off with right-handed pitchers Kyle Finnegan and Tanner Rainey entering free agency.
