FORT MYERS, Fla. — Northeastern secured a thrilling victory against Florida International on Friday, winning 60-58, thanks to a decisive layup by Rashad King with only three seconds left on the clock.
King was instrumental to the team’s performance, finishing with 19 points and grabbing eight rebounds.
Harold Woods contributed significantly as well, scoring 12 points with an effective shooting percentage of 5 for 11 from the field, also adding five rebounds to the team’s efforts.
For the Panthers, Vianney Salatchoum stood out by scoring 14 points. He also recorded six rebounds and blocked two shots, highlighting his defensive capabilities.
Woods proved himself in the first half, scoring eight points, which helped Northeastern establish a slim lead of 30-27 by halftime. In the second half, it was King who took charge, leading the scoring with 12 points, ultimately clinching the win for the Huskies.
