HAMPTON, Va. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Norfolk State triumphed over Hampton with a final score of 67-58, largely due to a standout performance from Brian Moore Jr., who contributed 20 points to the team’s victory.

Moore showcased impressive shooting skills, making 7 of 10 attempts from the field, including converting 2 out of 3 from beyond the arc. He also went 4 for 6 at the free-throw line. His teammate, Christian Ings, played a pivotal role as well, scoring 16 points. Ings’ shooting was notable as he hit 4 of 8 from the floor, and was 2 for 3 from three-point range, along with a robust performance at the foul line where he made 6 of 7 attempts. Additionally, Ings contributed seven assists to his team’s effort.

Jalen Myers added to Norfolk State’s total with 12 points on 4 of 7 shooting, including 2 for 5 from three-point territory, and he also secured six rebounds.

On the other side, the Pirates of Hampton were led by George Beale, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Noah Farrakhan contributed 11 points for Hampton, while Kyrese Mullen had a solid performance with nine points paired with 13 rebounds.
