MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — In an impressive display on Wednesday night, Essam Mostafa contributed significantly to Middle Tennessee’s 80-63 victory over Evansville, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
The Blue Raiders, now boasting a record of 3-0, also saw strong performances from Jlynn Counter, who netted 14 points while shooting an impressive 7 of 10 from the field, along with adding eight rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, Camryn Weston finished the game with 13 points, hitting 6 of his 14 shots, including 1 of 4 from three-point range.
For Evansville, who fell to 1-2 with this defeat, Cameron Haffner led their scoring efforts with a total of 16 points. Tanner Cuff contributed significantly as well, recording 15 points coupled with seven rebounds and three steals. Gabriel Pozzato also made an impact, scoring 11 points and securing two steals in the game.
