San Diego secured a 74-60 victory over Boston University on Friday night, propelled by the impressive performance of Kjay Bradley Jr., who tallied 28 points.
In addition to his scoring, Bradley contributed significantly with five rebounds, seven assists, and four steals, helping the Toreros move to a record of 2-1. David Simon added 14 points, shooting 5 of 12 and going 3 of 8 from beyond the arc, while Santiago Trouet rounded out the scoring with 11 points, finishing 5 of 10 from the floor.
On the other side, Ben Palacios was the standout for the Terriers, leading his team with 15 points. Miles Brewster chipped in with 11 points along with two steals, while Malcolm Chimezie provided solid support with nine points and nine rebounds.
The Toreros seized the lead with just over 11 minutes left in the first half, and they never looked back. They held a narrow 34-30 advantage at halftime, during which Bradley accounted for 14 of those points. In the second half, San Diego pushed their lead further to 49-32, catalyzed by an impressive 15-point scoring spree. Bradley scored another team-high of 14 points in the second half, consistently maintaining the momentum as they sealed the victory.
