In an exciting matchup during the Veterans Classic on Friday night, VCU emerged victorious over Boston College with a decisive score of 80-55.
Phillip Russell was a standout performer for the Rams, contributing 20 points to the win. He demonstrated impressive accuracy, hitting 5 of 9 attempts from the field, including 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, and converting 8 of 12 free throws.
Joe Bamisile also had a notable performance, scoring 18 points while shooting 6 of 14 overall and managing to sink 3 of 8 three-point shots. In addition to his scoring, he recorded nine rebounds, making a significant impact on both ends of the court. Christian Fermin added to the Rams’ tally with 12 points, hitting 5 of 7 from the floor, showcasing the team’s offensive strength.
On the other side, the Eagles struggled to keep pace with VCU.
