BOSTON — Representative Lori Trahan, a Democrat, secured her reelection for the U.S. House, representing Massachusetts on Tuesday. She faced no opposition in her bid for the 3rd Congressional District, which encompasses 35 municipalities, including her native Lowell.

Trahan initially entered Congress in 2018, emerging victorious after navigating a competitive Democratic primary featuring 10 candidates, followed by a successful general election. Currently, she is a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where she contributes to legislative discussions on various crucial energy and commercial issues.

In 2020, the House Ethics Committee conducted an inquiry into potential campaign finance irregularities involving Trahan but ultimately found her not at fault, clearing her of any wrongdoing.
