AUSTIN, Texas — Democratic Representative Joaquin Castro has successfully secured reelection to the U.S. House representing Texas’ 20th Congressional District. The congressman from San Antonio will embark on his seventh consecutive term in Congress, having first taken office in 2012.

Prior to his time in Congress, Castro spent a decade serving as a state senator. His educational background includes prestigious institutions such as Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
