Republican Representative Kat Cammack successfully secured her reelection for a seat in the U.S. House, representing Florida.
Cammack has held the position for the 3rd Congressional District, which encompasses areas in north-central Florida, including Gainesville, home to the University of Florida, since her initial election in 2021.
Before stepping into her own role as a congresswoman, Cammack served as the deputy chief of staff for her predecessor, former Representative Ted Yoho, who occupied the seat for four terms prior to her.
In this election, Cammack faced off against Democrat Tom Wells, an engineer, ultimately emerging victorious.
The announcement of her win was made at 7:42 p.m. EST by the media.
