NEW YORK — In a decisive victory, St. John’s dominated Fordham with a score of 92-60 on Monday evening.
Simeon Wilcher was a standout performer for the Red Storm, contributing 17 points while shooting an impressive 7 of 9 from the field.
Kadary Richmond also shined with a solid performance, scoring 16 points, and he complemented his scoring by grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out five assists.
Additionally, Aaron Scott added 12 points to the team’s total, making 5 of his 8 attempts, which included converting 2 of 5 shots from three-point range.
For Fordham, Jackie Johnson III was the highest scorer with 23 points and managed to snag two steals.
Josh Rivera contributed with 11 points and six rebounds, while Japhet Medor added seven points to the team’s effort.
St. John’s took control of the game early, seizing the lead just 1:09 into the first half and maintaining it throughout.
By halftime, they had established a solid 40-26 lead, buoyed by Wilcher’s 10 points in the first half.
As the second half began, St. John’s swiftly extended their lead with a strong 10-0 run, transforming a 23-point advantage into a commanding 33-point margin.
In the closing half, they outscored Fordham by 18 points, with Brady Dunlap leading the team in the second half, scoring nine points.
