ORLANDO, Fla. — A tragic incident unfolded in Orlando on Friday morning, where a shooting at a public Halloween gathering resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to six others, according to local authorities and reports.

The Orlando Police Department announced via social media that they are actively investigating the shooting that took place in the downtown area.

Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith provided insight into the situation, stating that the gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. while crowds were enjoying Halloween festivities. Reports indicate that a 17-year-old male suspect is currently being questioned by detectives in connection with the incident.
