Coby White delivered an impressive performance for the Chicago Bulls, scoring 21 points, while Josh Giddey contributed with 20, leading the Bulls to a narrow 102-99 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

In addition to White and Giddey, Nikola Vucevic made notable contributions as well, finishing the game with 18 points and 14 rebounds. This win marks Chicago’s second consecutive triumph.

For Orlando, Paolo Banchero shone with a remarkable 31 points just two days after his outstanding 50-point game against the Pacers. However, his efforts were not enough for the team to secure a win. Jalen Suggs chipped in with 17 points but missed a crucial fading jump shot in the dying seconds of the match.

Despite Chicago shooting only 3 for 15 in the fourth quarter, they managed to maintain their lead, as Orlando struggled too, with a shooting percentage of just 4 for 22 in the final period. Collectively, both teams managed to score only 28 points in the fourth quarter.

The Magic initially took control of the game, leading by as much as 20 points during the first half. Nevertheless, the Bulls staged a comeback with a late 12-3 run in the second quarter. Banchero’s remarkable first half, where he scored 20 points, helped Orlando secure a 62-52 advantage at halftime.

In terms of game highlights, the Magic’s forward Franz Wagner left the contest early in the fourth quarter due to an illness, which appeared to impact Orlando’s effectiveness near the basket. Meanwhile, the Bulls felt the absence of point guard Lonzo Ball, who continues to recuperate from a wrist injury, as the team struggled with 15 turnovers, primarily from entering passes or plays at the top of the key.

A critical moment of the game occurred when the Bulls led 98-97 in the closing minute. Giddey passed to Patrick Williams, who then hit a crucial 3-pointer from the top of the arc, extending Chicago’s lead to two possessions and securing the victory.

Notably, there was a significant dry spell for both teams, as they went over seven minutes in the fourth quarter without a successful field goal. Ayo Dosunmu finally broke the drought for Chicago with a 2-pointer.

Looking ahead, the Magic will continue their five-game road trip against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, while the Bulls will head to Brooklyn to face the Nets on the same evening.
