CAIRO — A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Libya when a boat, carrying 13 Egyptian migrants en route to Europe, capsized, resulting in the deaths of 12 individuals. Local authorities, along with humanitarian groups in the region, reported this unfortunate event on Tuesday.

According to Al-Abreen, an organization dedicated to aiding migrants in Libya, the boat overturned approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) east of Tobruk on Monday evening. Remarkably, one passenger managed to survive the disaster, and the organization noted that the bodies of the deceased were subsequently recovered and transported to shore.
