Breaking News: Harris Labels Trump as ‘a fascist’ during CNN town hall event

Vice President Kamala Harris recently expressed her belief that Donald Trump embodies fascist tendencies, following a statement made by his long-serving chief of staff. This chief of staff indicated that Trump had previously praised Adolf Hitler and placed loyalty to individuals above adherence to the Constitution. Harris made these comments during a CNN town hall event held on Wednesday, integrating them into her message to voters as the countdown to the 2024 presidential election intensifies, with just 12 days remaining.

In a noteworthy development, former Republican representative Fred Upton from Michigan has publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in her presidential race. This endorsement, announced on Thursday, adds to the list of bipartisan support for the Democratic candidate, who has recently campaigned alongside Liz Cheney, the former Republican congresswoman from Wyoming. Both Upton and Cheney were part of the group of House Republicans who voted for Trump’s impeachment following the chaotic events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Upton, who dedicated 36 years to serving in Congress and represented the West Michigan area, stated that he believes Trump is “unfit to serve as commander in chief again.” Upton further revealed that he has already cast his vote in favor of Harris. “Numerous respected senior members of the Republican Party have repeatedly called on our former president to prioritize governing rather than indulging in personal attacks, fabrications, and persistent false claims about the 2020 election,” Upton noted. “Rather than listening to this guidance, we are witnessing erratic behavior that is simply unacceptable in many contexts almost daily.”
