CARROLLTON, Ga. — Quincy Casey stood out on the field as he led West Georgia to a decisive 41-13 victory over Shorter, a team from Division II, on Saturday.
Casey showcased an impressive performance, completing 19 of his 28 pass attempts for a total of 304 yards while also leading the rushing efforts with 57 yards on just eight carries.
The quarterback initiated the scoring with a remarkable 16-yard touchdown run and capped off the first half with an 8-yard touchdown run just before halftime, pushing his team ahead 21-7.
In between these two touchdown runs, he connected with teammate Karmello English for a significant 58-yard touchdown pass.
The second half saw further contributions from the Wolves (2-5), as Chase Belcher, Rajaez Mosley, and Davin Wydner each added touchdown runs, solidifying their lead.
On the other side, the Hawks (2-3) managed to get on the board with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Joshua Brown to Jaylin Marshall.
Overall, the game demonstrated Casey’s versatility and leadership on the field, helping secure an important win for West Georgia.
