Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams is set to possibly make his season debut against Arsenal in the Premier League this Saturday.
“He may be lacking in match fitness, but that’s quite normal,” commented Bournemouth’s manager, Andoni Iraola, on Friday.
“Tyler is feeling great, has been performing well, and has trained excellently during this international break with us. He is prepared to play.”

Adams, who captained the U.S. team during the 2022 World Cup, underwent back surgery in early July.
His last season was hindered by issues with a hamstring injury that kept him out from September 27 until March 13 of the following year, limiting him to just three games in the Premier League.
He made a brief return for two matches but faced additional setbacks due to back spasms, causing him to miss play after March 30.

The 25-year-old midfielder played a complete match for the U.S. during the Copa America, where they faced elimination following a 1-0 loss to Uruguay in the group stage on July 1.
Shortly after this match, he underwent surgery on his back.
Adams was absent from the U.S. squad selected by new coach Mauricio Pochettino for the recent friendlies against Panama and Mexico.
The U.S. secured a 2-0 win over Panama but suffered a similar defeat against Mexico on Tuesday night.

There is a possibility that he may make a return to the national team for the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals against Jamaica next month.
