A bus transporting Japanese tourists lost control and plunged into a ditch in Turkey on Thursday, resulting in injuries to 22 individuals, as reported by state media.
The incident took place on a highway in Afyonkarahisar province, located approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles) southwest of the capital, Ankara, according to the Anadolu Agency.
Details surrounding the cause of the accident are still unclear, and investigations are likely to follow.
Among the injured, one person is reported to be in critical condition and has been admitted to a local hospital in Afyonkarahisar for urgent medical care, as stated by the agency’s reports.
