Ex-Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee wounded by gunfire in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Jake E. Lee, known for his time as a guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning in Las Vegas.
Authorities from the Las Vegas police confirmed that the incident occurred around 2:40 a.m., following which Lee was transported to a hospital for medical attention.
Although no suspects have been apprehended yet, the police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which took place approximately 10 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip.

A spokesperson for Lee verified the shooting incident, noting that the musician remained conscious and is anticipated to make a full recovery.
“Given the ongoing police investigation, we will not provide further comments at this time. The family requests privacy as they navigate this challenging situation,” the representative stated.
According to Amanda Cagan, the shooting occurred while Lee was out walking his dog.

Manager Tim Heyne expressed gratitude that the injuries were not life-threatening, saying, “Fortunately, no major organs were affected, and he is fully responsive. We expect him to recover completely.”

Jake E. Lee, who is 67 years old, was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and grew up in San Diego.
He gained prominence in the 1980s glam metal scene on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, playing in various bands including an early iteration of Ratt.
Lee became a member of Ozzy Osbourne’s band in 1982 and contributed to several albums, notably the 1983 release “Bark at the Moon.”
After his time with Osbourne, he went on to form the band Badlands and released two solo albums.
Most recently, he was leading the rock band Red Dragon Cartel.
