Authorities in Maricopa County, Arizona, are looking into a tragic incident where three individuals were discovered dead following a structure fire at a small community near Buckeye. The fire occurred in Arlington, located approximately 12 miles southwest of Buckeye, and was reported around 4:30 a.m.
Footage from news helicopters revealed significant damage to a structure, with half of the building consumed by the fire. Specific details about the victims and the cause of the fire have not been released by Sheriff’s officials at this time.
Emergency response teams from the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority, along with fire units from Buckeye and Avondale, swiftly arrived at the scene, where they encountered a fully engulfed fire in a converted small residence in the backyard of a home.
Once the flames were extinguished, the bodies of the three individuals were discovered within the burnt structure. Arlington, a small community with a population of around 150 as of 2020, is situated west of Phoenix, approximately 43 miles away.
