Houston Astros outfielder Mauricio Dubón was involved in a frightening moment during Sunday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles. In the seventh inning, with the Astros leading 5-3 and two outs, Dubón sprinted deep into the corner to make a remarkable backhanded catch on a fly ball hit by Ramón Urías. However, as he made the catch, Dubón crashed into the left field wall at Camden Yards.

The impact with the wall left Dubón visibly shaken as he was unable to slow down much of his momentum before colliding with it. Despite the scary collision, Dubón managed to walk off the field and reach the dugout after a brief moment on the ground. His exceptional catch served as the final out of the seventh inning, but Houston decided to pinch-hit for him in the eighth inning.

The incident highlighted the physical demands and dangers that players face in the game of baseball, showcasing the risks involved in making exceptional plays in the outfield. Despite the scare, Dubón’s toughness and resilience were evident as he was able to walk off the field under his own power.
