Brayden Narveson demonstrated his kicking abilities by making three field goals, including the game-winner at the last second, leading the Tennessee Titans to a 16-15 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in an exhibition game. The rookie from North Carolina State provided crucial points with field goals of 21, 59, and 46 yards in the fourth quarter, aiding in two separate comebacks for the Titans.
Quarterback Mason Rudolph showcased his skills, solidifying his position as the backup to Will Levis by orchestrating key drives. Rudolph’s efforts included a 78-yard drive resulting in a touchdown pass to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and setting up a pivotal 59-yard field goal by Narveson, which gave the Titans their first lead of the game.
Seahawks’ Sam Howell put on an impressive performance in the first half, completing 11 of 14 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game with a 12-7 lead. Meanwhile, Titans’ first-year coach Brian Callahan gave Malik Willis, a third-round pick out of Liberty, the opportunity to prove himself on the field with the backups.
Injuries marred the game for the Titans, with wide receiver and returner Kearis Jackson suffering a knee injury, rookie running back Jabari Small in the concussion protocol, and defensive end T.K. McLendon hurting his foot. Seattle and Tennessee will now prepare for their upcoming preseason matchups, with the Seahawks hosting Cleveland on August 24, and the Titans visiting New Orleans on August 25.
