Three individuals lost their lives on Thursday following an accident on a highway near Denver when a semitruck flipped over and spilled plastic pipes onto the road, leading to multiple collisions, according to Wheat Ridge police. The incident occurred on Interstate 70 in Wheat Ridge, west of Denver, causing chaos in the surrounding area. The spilled cargo resulted in accidents involving at least three vehicles, stated Wheat Ridge police division chief Eric Kellogg.
The fatal victims were passengers in a car that also had two other occupants who sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital in stable condition. The semitruck driver was also hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries among individuals traveling in the other vehicles involved in the crashes, as stated by Kellogg.
