In Barcelona, Spain, police have arrested a fourth individual in connection with the stabbing incident involving the father of 17-year-old Spanish soccer star Lamine Yamal. The victim, Mounir Nasraoui, has expressed that he is feeling better following the attack. Three other suspects had been apprehended the day before with the help of the public’s cooperation.
Nasraoui, who is still hospitalized, provided an update on his condition on social media, thanking everyone for their support. Reports from La Vanguardia detailed that Nasraoui sustained multiple stab wounds during a confrontation with a group of individuals near Barcelona. He is currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, Yamal trained as usual with the rest of the Barcelona team on Thursday. The club is set to begin their Spanish league season on Saturday with a match against Valencia. Yamal played a key role in Spain’s victory at the European Championship in July, assisting in a goal during the final match against England. He also scored an impressive goal in the semifinals and was awarded the tournament’s best young player title right after turning 17.
