A West Virginia dentist named Dr. Jeremy Michael Crow has been charged with 39 counts of misdemeanor criminal invasion of privacy after a hidden camera was discovered in the employee bathroom of his office in Weirton. The 45-year-old dentist turned himself in at the Weirton Police Department and was later released on a $20,000 bond following arraignment.
Crow, who hails from Washington, Pennsylvania, has denied the allegations through his attorney, Robert McCoid, stating that they believe the evidence against him is weak. McCoid added that Crow plans to continue his dental practice as the case unfolds in court.
The investigation was triggered in May when an employee found a camera concealed inside a water bottle in the staff bathroom at Crow’s office. Subsequently, around 10 female employees reported encountering the same device, though there was no indication that cameras were placed in the public restroom of the office.
Weirton Police Chief Charlie Kush shared in a news release that they are charging Crow with the violations, emphasizing the seriousness of invading privacy in such a manner. Weirton, where the incident occurred, is located approximately 35 miles west of Pittsburgh.
