New York mother jumps off Niagara Falls with her two young children in tragic incident, police say

The mighty American Falls on the U.S side of Niagara Falls

A New York mother, Chaianti Means, 33, took a fatal leap from Niagara Falls’ Luna Island overlook with her two young children, including a 5-month-old baby, in a tragedy police are calling intentional. New York State Police reported that Means stepped over the guardrail late Monday night, descending the nearly 200-foot drop.

Rescue crews are continuing their search for the bodies, according to Syracuse.com. Authorities responded to the scene around 9 p.m., and investigators quickly determined the fall was deliberate, reported WIVB.
