High-speed holiday pursuit
A motorcyclist dressed as Santa Claus led Florida police on a daring high-speed chase Saturday night, hitting speeds of 120 mph. The festive fugitive was spotted weaving recklessly through traffic in Beverly Hills, Fla., refusing to stop when flagged by a state trooper.

Dashcam footage captures the chase
Dashcam video shows the officer trailing the motorcycling Santa as he maneuvered through lanes and even cut through a gas station to evade capture. The nimble rider outpaced the trooper’s vehicle and disappeared into the night.
Authorities appeal for tips

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information about the elusive Santa, who was riding a white motorcycle with blue trim. They humorously commented, “The sleigh must be in the shop,” on their official X account, asking the public to help identify the speedster.
Not the only holiday crime
This isn’t the first instance of holiday-themed lawbreaking this season. In Texas, a truck driver evading police drove through a JCPenney, injuring shoppers before being stopped by a combined effort of authorities and security. Meanwhile, in Mexico, a street brawl between performers dressed as Santa Claus and the Grinch ended in arrests after a tip dispute turned physical.
