Melania reveals how often she will be in the White House

Melania Trump opened up about her plans for her return to the White House, sharing exclusive details about her $40 million documentary, her expanded Be Best campaign, and life as the first lady in a sit-down interview with Ainsley Earhardt on Fox & Friends.

She revealed a much more confident approach to her second term, noting she feels “prepared” to step into the role with a stronger presence and a clear vision for her initiatives.

A New Role in the White House

Melania Trump reflected on her first stint as first lady, which she largely dedicated to raising her son Barron, who was just 11 when Donald Trump first took office. Now 18 and a freshman at New York University, Barron will visit the White House but won’t reside there full-time. “I respect Barron’s choices. We guide our children, but then give them the wings to fly,” she explained.

This time around, Melania intends to focus on expanding her Be Best campaign, which aims to promote children’s well-being. She emphasized the importance of assembling a lean, effective East Wing staff that prioritizes talent and teamwork, saying, “I don’t want to spend too much taxpayer money or hire people with their own agendas.”

The $40 Million Documentary

In a move that highlights her new approach to her role, Melania is producing a $40 million documentary, backed by Amazon, chronicling her life and transition back to the White House. Inspired by the success of her memoir, Melania, she explained, “My fans wanted to hear more from me, so I decided to create a film about my incredible, busy life.”

The documentary, set for a fall release, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at her daily responsibilities, from organizing her team to transforming the residence into a home for the first family. “People don’t really know what it takes, but they’ll see it,” she said.

Balancing Priorities

Despite reports suggesting she may split her time between New York, Palm Beach, and Washington, Melania clarified, “I will be in the White House when needed.” She emphasized her commitment to balancing her roles as a mother, wife, and first lady, saying, “Once we are in on January 20, you serve the country.”

As she prepares for the transition, she has already selected furniture for the family quarters, making only minor updates from her first tenure. “This time, it’s much smoother. I know the process, the rooms, and the plans,” she said, comparing it to the challenges of her first move in 2017.

Melania Trump also hopes to garner more support for her Be Best initiative during her second term. Reflecting on her earlier efforts, she said, “Imagine what we could have done if businesses and streaming platforms had rallied behind me. This time, I want to make a greater impact.”
