Meghan & Harry hire new PR team ahead of Netflix show

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making big moves! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex just announced major changes in their team. And the timing couldn’t be more perfect—right before Meghan’s much-anticipated Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, and the launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Meet their new communications chief

The power couple has hired Meredith Maines as their first-ever Chief Communications Officer. She will oversee all communications for their ventures. This is a huge role, and Maines is more than ready for the challenge.

A Star-Studded Resume

Maines brings impressive experience. She previously worked as a Marketing Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, where she handled branding, communications, and marketing strategies. Before that, she had key roles at Google and Hulu. She even managed talent for American Idol! Her background makes her the perfect fit for Harry and Meghan’s growing empire.

Maines Shares Her Excitement

Maines is thrilled about her new role. She expressed her excitement, calling it an “honor” to work with Meghan and Harry. She told People magazine that she looks forward to helping them tell their story as entrepreneurs, builders, and philanthropists. Her journey with them officially starts on March 3.

A second big hire

The Sussexes didn’t stop there. They also brought in Shahed Fakhari Larson as an outside strategic communications advisor. Larson will support their tech and business ventures, ensuring their projects shine in the global spotlight.

With new hires come departures. Ashley Hansen, who served as the couple’s Global Press Secretary and Head of Communications, left in October 2023. She had been part of their team since 2022. But don’t worry—she isn’t going far!

After leaving her role, Hansen launched her own firm, Three Gate Strategies, with Harry and Meghan’s full support. She shared that she will still collaborate with them in the future. This marks a big step in her career while keeping her ties to the Sussexes.

Big changes for a big year

These staffing updates come at a crucial time. Meghan’s show With Love, Meghan is set to premiere on March 4. Meanwhile, her lifestyle brand As Ever is already generating buzz. With these exciting projects on the horizon, the couple needs a strong team to navigate the media landscape.

Harry and Meghan are clearly building an empire. With new staff, new shows, and new business ventures, 2024 is shaping up to be a major year for them. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s next!

Stay tuned for more updates on the royal rebels making waves in Hollywood!
