M.I.A.’s Shocking Revelation
In a recently surfaced video obtained by Livebitez, M.I.A.—real name Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam—opened up about her experience with Jay-Z, describing the outrageous demand. “Even when I met Jay-Z and signed to Roc Nation, the first thing he told me to do was get plastic surgery,” the 49-year-old said.
Rejecting the suggestion, she added, “I’m not insecure. If I was, I would’ve done that a hundred times over.”
A Short-Lived Partnership
M.I.A. joined Roc Nation ahead of the release of her fourth album, Matangi, but her tenure with the label was brief. She parted ways with the company in late 2013 after clashing over the release of a documentary trailer for the album.
Jay-Z Faces Disturbing Accusations
M.I.A.’s claim coincides with a resurfaced civil lawsuit alleging that Jay-Z and Diddy sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The accuser, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that the attack occurred at a party following the event.
The lawsuit, initially filed in October, was amended Sunday to name Jay-Z, 55, as a defendant. The accuser claims both men took turns assaulting her while a third celebrity watched.
Jay-Z Responds to Allegations
Jay-Z has vehemently denied the accusations, calling the claims “heinous” and accusing the accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, of extortion. “No sir, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!” he wrote in a statement shared with DailyMail.com.
The rapper expressed heartbreak over the impact on his family, particularly his children, and vowed to fight the allegations in court, stating, “The truth will prevail.”
