Law enforcement detains four individuals in connection to the murder of former ‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Wactor

Los Angeles police have apprehended four individuals in connection to the tragic killing of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor. The suspects, aged between 18 and 22, come from various locations in L.A. County, including Huntington Park and Inglewood. Three of them are facing murder charges, while the fourth has been booked as an accessory.
Authorities executed search warrants leading to these arrests early Thursday morning and seized additional evidence, as per a statement by the LAPD. Further information about the arrests and the evidence recovered has not been disclosed.
Wactor lost his life when he interrupted thieves in the process of stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle in the early hours of May 25. The 37-year-old had just left work with a colleague from a rooftop bar when he discovered the theft in progress. Subsequently, one of the culprits shot him unprovoked, resulting in his death.
The assailants fled the scene in a car, and Wactor was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The county medical examiner confirmed his cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest, ruling it a homicide.
In a plea for information, the police had released surveillance images of the suspects and their getaway vehicle on August 5. Wactor, originally from South Carolina, portrayed Brando Corbin on the ABC soap opera from 2020 to 2022. He also had roles in several films and TV shows, including “Station 19,” “NCIS,” “Westworld,” and the video game “Call of Duty: Vanguard.”
Following Wactor’s untimely passing, his agent, David Shaul, remarked that Wactor was always resilient and dedicated to his craft. Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, expressed the profound grief of losing her son, sharing the pain of missed milestones and the longing for conversations that can never happen again.
